크리스프 웨지는 작가의 사유가 물리적 덩어리가 되어 공간을 점유하는 순간과, 그것이 다시 스크린이라는 매끄러운 표면으로 봉합되는 임계의 시공간에 위치한다. 우리는 특정 맥락을 분절하며 개입하는 쐐기로서의 전시가 일시적인 휘발에 그치지 않고, 시각적 번역을 통해 동시대 이미지의 구조적 잔존물로 치환되는 과정에 주목한다. 이곳에서 전시는 단순히 공간을 채우는 행위를 넘어, 물리적 실체와 디지털 기록 사이의 어긋난 틈을 기술하고 그 안에서 발생하는 새로운 시각적 위계를 구축하는 매개적 주체로 작동하고자 한다.

Crisp Wedge operates at the liminal intersection where artistic conceptualization manifests as material mass, only to be systematically sutured back into the slick, flattened exteriority of the screen. We approach the exhibition as a wedge—a formal intervention that segments specific contexts, resisting ephemeral dissipation through a rigorous protocol of visual translation. In this context, the spatial event is transmuted into a structural residue: the contemporary image-object. Moving beyond mere spatial occupancy, the exhibition functions here as a mediatory agency, articulating the ontological fissures between physical presence and digital archivality while generating a dynamic visual hierarchy emergent from this very gap.
